Maja Salvador had to run barefoot on concrete highways, the river and even on rocky roads. At times, Maja's feet would bleed from extensive running scenes, but she hardly complained on the set. According to Director Paul Soriano, Maja would simply splash Betadine and rub alcohol on her feet, then she would start running again for a different scene.
Maja Salvador was rushed to a provincial hospital in Ilocos Norte after she experienced severe leg cramps and muscle spasms. She collapsed after filming a running scene.
Maja Salvador underwent training under national track star Elma Muros-Posadas and her husband Jojo Posadas.
