According to the DVD audio commentary, the Australian portions were shot with a Sony DSR-PD150 DVCAM, while the rest of the movie was shot with a DSR-500. On the DVD audio commentary, the producers choose the look of the 500 over the 150, as the producers feel the 150 was giving some "digital distortion".
