Mithun Chakraborthy and Dharmendra have acted in many film's together as friends and brothers. This is the only film where they play father and son but don't have any scenes together as Dharmendra was in a special appearance.

Harry Baweja worked as an assistant to B. Subhash in many films, which generally had Mithun Chakraborthy in lead and Amrish Puri as villain. When he directed this film he went on the cast the same pair.
Mithun Chakraborthy recommended Varsha Usgaonkar for the film. When she heard her role she did not like it. Mithun kept telling her she would regret her decision and he proved right as the film was a success.
