TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The film was shot in 2004 but wasn't screened at a festival until 2010 and didn't get an official release until the DVD premiere in 2012.

2010 LA Femme International Film Festival - Official Selection and winner of Best Original Screenplay (Katie Torpey).

Truth About Kerry won a Best Screenplay award at the LA Femme Film Festival in October, 2010.

Emma describes her relationship with Daniel as "complicated". On the series Castle (2009), the adjective is how Kate Beckett, also played by Stana Katic, describes the romantic relationship that develops between her and Richard Castle, the show's lead character.

When she got the lead role of Emma in 2004, Stana Katic was a relative unknown, having made her film debut just a year earlier in Shut-Eye (2003). Because the film went unreleased for so long, by the time it was screened at film festivals in 2010, Katic had already become a recognizable name for her role on Castle (2009), which was finishing its second season and entering its third.

Popular Dialogues

"Michael O'Neil: It was a terrible thing, what happened to your friend. It's a bad thing for the village, too. Not good business to have tourists drowning in these waters. Emma: What if she didn't drown? Michael O'Neil: I don't know who can answer that question except God."

"Daniel: Emma. Emma: What? Daniel: I'm worried about you. Can we just go home? We can catch a flight out of Shannon tomorrow. Emma: I'm not leaving until I find out what happened to Kerry."
