The four-part docuseries TYSON chronicles the incredible life and career of the “Baddest Man on the Planet,” Mike Tyson, through archival footage and interviews with the man himself. The series traces Tyson's journey from his impoverished, chaotic childhood in Brownsville, Brooklyn, to making history as the youngest heavyweight champion of all time at just 20 years old. However, the docuseries confronts the darker chapters of his life, including his struggles with addiction, incarceration, fame, and infamous moments like the Evander Holyfield ear-biting incident.

The series was initially announced as a three-part series but was later expanded to four episodes due to the extensive amount of archival footage and the depth of Tyson's story.
This documentary was made in cooperation with Mike Tyson, unlike the 2022 Hulu series 'Mike', which Tyson publicly criticized.
The release of the docuseries follows Netflix's first-ever live boxing event in 2024, which featured a fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul.
