IMDbUnlocked is a South Korean thriller film that tells the story of a dangerous criminal who gets his hands on the lost cell phone of a woman. It is the story of how her life turns upside down in her hunt for the mobile. The movie's direction and cinematography are average, as the director tries to justify adapting a superhit novel and an amazing premise. Actors Si-wan Yim and Woo-hee Chun shine in the lead roles, with names like Kim Hee-won, Park Ho-san, and Jeon Jin-oh in the supporting cast. Further, the themes of graphic violence and peril are present throughout the film, as it attempts to showcase a disturbing storyline to keep the viewer on the edge of their seats. Overall, Unlocked is a good attempt at adapting the superhit novel, but ends up producing a mediocre yet entertaining thriller. However, the acting is high quality and the story is engaging.
