TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

This is the first Indian film to be shot on a high definition (HD) format.

Radhika Apte debuted with this movie, she played Shahid's sister role. However the role was not long but significant as she appeared in many scenes.

Mahesh Manjrekar had first thought of making the film in 1995, with Amitabh Bachchan as Yamraj and Sanjay Dutt as Adi Chachu.

The visual effects of the film were conceived by Prime Focus in Mumbai and took nearly a year to create. Around half-a-dozen of the latest software programs such as smoke combustion, Maya, and After Effects were used. Each frame had more than 1000 layers. The visual effects team spent five months creating only the Xmas cloud effects.

The scene where Yamraj M.A. appears in front of a group of children and they call him Sanjay Dutt was written by Dutt himself.
