TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Even though the film was about the FBI, J. Edgar Hoover would not sanction the film, because Producer Edward Small refused to allow the FBI to interfere with production and review the film prior to its release.

After Radchek arrives in San Francisco, he gives the real address of the apartment where the filming took place to his contact there - a rarity in films even then.

Raymond Burr appears here as a villainous heavy, early in his career. He appeared in many noir and dramatic roles for over a decade before taking up the briefcase as TV attorney Perry Mason (1957).

The subject of Braun's second painting is the famous La Consulat Restaurant at 18 Rue Norvins, Paris, France.

Virtually every man appearing in this film wears a white shirt and tie with a suit coat and sometimes a hat. That is unless the men are laborers that must wear work clothes.

Popular Dialogues

"Philip 'Scotty' Grayson: Hmmm. You know Braun could be a pretty fair painter... Daniel F. O'Hara: Yes, if there wasn't so much red in his work."

"Igor Braun: We, who are dedicated to the ideal of world revolution, understand that the individual counts for nothing!"
