FX network announced in May 2021 that it placed a two-season order to the docuseries Welcome to Wrexham from Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds.
A new trailer was released on December 8 for the series featuring Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. It mocked the series as a Welsh version of the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (2005) cast. The series will be released in 2022 on US network FX.
