TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Because he was so good as Darby Crash, Shane West was hired as the new vocalist and The Germs reunited for a tour.

The band playing before The Germs is most likely meant to be Black Flag, as they are playing their song "Police Story".

In the film, Don Bolles is seen as joining the band in September 1977. In reality, Cliff Hanger was the band's drummer at this time, and Don did not join the band until several months later in early 1978.

During a majority of the scenes that take place in 1977, Lorna Doom is seen with a raven style haircut, however, photographic evidence confirms that she still had a poodle haircut during this period.

In the scene at The Whisky, the gig is seen as becoming a full on riot without The Germs even playing a song, when in actuality, The Germs did indeed play a full set that night, as evidenced in the "Caught In My Eye" home video. The date of the show in the movie was also incorrect, being labeled as having taken place on December 23, 1979. In truth, the show took place a day earlier, as presented on a flyer of the event.

Popular Dialogues

"Darby Crash: I love those who do not know how to live, except in perishing, for they are those that go beyond. I love the great despiser's, because they are the great adorers. They are arrows longing for the other shore. I love those who do not seek beyond the stars for a reason to parish and be sacrifice; but who sacrifice themselves to earth in order that earth may some day become... supermans. Tell me, my brothorin, if the goal be lacking to humanity is not humanity itself lacking; it is time for man to mark his goal. It is time for man to plant his germ of his highest hope."

"Darby Crash: Everything works in circles. Like sometimes you're doing something, and a year later you're back at the same point. You understand that? So circle one, is what we're doing now, and someday we'll probably do circle two."
