The plot is set in the area of the Two Rivers. And to create the fictional nuances, the VFX team did a remarkable job. The entire team’s work was so good that it would certainly be loved by the devoted readers of Wheel of Time.
As mentioned earlier, the series has too many characters just like the original novel. Except that these characters are a little more mature than how they are mentioned in the novels. This is probably because of the adult scenes that are present in the series. Nevertheless, the one that shined throughout the first season of this series is Rosamund Pike. Author Robert Jordan was good friends with fellow fantasy author, George R R Martin, author of the ongoing Song of Ice and Fire series. There are elements within Jordan's original novels that Martin included in his series, including the term "Game of Houses" which comes up in later books, and which probably inspired Martin's "Game of Thrones". Martin included a character in his books, Lord Trebor Jordayne of House Tor. Trebor Jordayne is of course a modified anagram of Robert Jordan. And Tor is the publishing company of Jordan's Wheel of Time series.

The "Wheel of Time" novel series is a full 14 books, with the final 3 having been completed by fantasy author Brandon Sanderson. Robert Jordan (real name, James Oliver Rigney Jr.) died in 2007 and left a final, unfinished manuscript that Sanderson then split into 3 books. The final novel, "A Memory of Light," was released in 2013.
Production for Season 2 was green-lit while Season 1 was still in post production.
