The practical blood effects were achieved by using real cow blood from a slaughterhouse. The substance had to changed to food color because one of the actors fell ill when filming a scene in which he had to spit blood from his mouth.
Majority of the actors in the film are self-taught martial artists who regularly compete in kung-fu tournaments in Uganda.
The original version of the film without the Video Joker commentary was lost when I.G.G. Nabwana deleted it from his hard drive to make room for his second film 'Tebaatusasula'. The non-VJ soundtrack can be found in the AGFA release of Captain Alex.
