The film takes place in April 2049.

Gregory Smith (Greg) revealed in a interview that a lot of the Earth scenes were shot at his actual high school that he was attending at the time. Some of his real life friends from the school were cast as extras.

Zenon Kar was born in 2036.

According to Courtnee Draper, she "almost booked Zenon. It was between me and Kirsten Storms and maybe one other girl..."

Kirsten Storms, Raven-Symoné, and Zach Lipovsky were all cast and crew members from the Kim Possible franchise. Storms (Zenon) provided the voice of Bonnie, and Raven-Symoné (Nebula) provided the voice of Monique in Kim Possible (2002). Lipovsky (Matt) was one of the directors of Kim Possible (2019).
