Most awaited laptop arrives to indian market with a bit of disappointment. I will start with few cons- -Lack of Bluray drive for the price though its optional upgrade but again increases the cost -No true HD display 1920x1080p, again its optional upgrade. -Low battery life with 6 cell battery,9 cell battery would have done some justice again its optional upgrade. -Flaws in multitouch gesture, after previous 2011 envy edition it was expected from hp to improve this but they dont seem to learn from their mistakes. -Overall If you try to solve these cons you will end up paying around 90k for this laptop which is too high i would rather go for alienware for the same. Now what makes it sit out of the bunch. Pros- -Real macbook killer looks though some wont agree and say same outdated envy looks but this time hp has cut down the edges to precision giving unibody metal desig n which will atleast first time envy buyer keep starring with uits jaw dropping design. -One the best audio quality on any laptop , clearity and loudness is awsome with four speakers even though it comes with triple reflex bass but does lack depth in bass but cant expect true bass from a laptop of such slimness. -Keyboard is really good with nice tactile feed back, you can easily type on long hours no complaints here.Backlighting is something special due to sensors it gets activated as soon as it feels your presence near the keyboard or laptops and turnsoff accordingly. -Audio control nob like jog dial controls beats audio and gives access to beats control panel, mute audio, change volume is nice piece of addon near the keyboard right. -Great amount of processing power under the slim aluminium chasis is quad core i7 2670qm and ati radeon 7690M graphics can handle anything thrown at it be it latest games or complex 3d apps or simple office task it can crunch with its superb processing power. -Includes all possible connectivity features one would want from a laptop. -Overall great premium laptop leaving more to desire from its cons.If you are looking for ultimate windows mackbook killer, look no further get this mean machine it will turn many heads around your colleges.Also if money is no bar you can over come most of its cons. Highly recommended.
This "15" inch envy product is the good one from from HP in Looks and Design but when it comes to Featured I don't think it deserves the such price when compared to features in it. Man i hope the next time HP launches it's modifies version I would surely like to see the following features included in it. My Brother has one,and I am also hopin to by it but not until its features are updated. This Envy Laptop really deserves a 2 Gb dedicated graphics memory 720 rpm hard disk and a full hd webcam
It is fantastic laptop, though i wud like to see 1080p and 7200 rpm. Overall the laptops nice. I was very upset with windows performance. I felt wrong for the purchase of the laptop. Then i installed ubuntu 12.04 and now it works blazing fast. Definetly recommend this laptop. Cons- High Price
This laptop is a rocket ,as i'm a music composer , i love this becuz of beats audio ; even gaming in this laptop is pretty smooth ci7 proccessor makes it better. ITS RAM IS 8GB BUT IT HARDLY USES 4GB OF RAM. I run games like bf3,nfs the run, assasins crees(all parts),mass effect 3. It has sexy looks but kinda similar to Macbook Pro .
