HP Pavilion 15-e017AU (F0C85PA) Laptop (APU Quad Core/8 GB/1 TB/DOS)

Flipkart was spot on in terms of packing and delivery time. Coming back to the product, I rated this product a five star in terms of excellent hardware, nice design &display and value for money, 25k with exchange. However, having a free DOS setup, to be windows-ified.....is a bit tricky, in terms of non-technical guys. Firstly, you have to install Windows 8 on it (Windows 7 drivers are not available on HP site), that too you need to install the 64 bit version (either get robbed by microsoft or donate to p*rateb*y and wikipedia) to use all of 8 G.B RAM.(32 bits support upto 3 G.B), also there are 2 USB 3.0 Ports (Not easy to make it work on Windows 7) and 1 USB 2.0 Port. Secondly, life is more difficult in Windows 8, especially if you do not like Microsoft's whims and fancies, also drivers for old hardware would be difficult to find for Windows 8. (I have i-ball TV Tuner card, forced it to work in Windows 8 with difficulty.) There is adequate RAM in the machine so as to move in to a faster world, the Windows 8 Experience Index rates it @ 4.1. All in all a deal worth looking at if you are not willing to pay brand premium and expect value for your hard-earned money. Some of the drivers need be downloaded from HP & graphics one from AMD site. A clever and a great buy, provided you can tame it to dance to your tunes.

If you look out for best lappy for low price, this is the one you are looking for.. They have reduced the money coz of two factors 1. Processor - AMD 2. OS - DOS I have been using it for last one month, i dont find any issues and i just love it. Windows 8 - 64 bit works good with it. after u buy this prod, you may need to purchase a original OS or u can get it from your close pals (ur wish). and then u need to free download and install all drivers from HP website and graphics driver from amd website. Which is not a big deal, it takes rarely 1 to 1.5 hrs to complete all the post purchase installs. There by saving few extra bucks. Overall im giving a rating of 5. just go for it. An intelligent buy..
