The printer exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something that can print at a reasonably low cost, automatically print double sided, and have wireless capability. This printer meets all that and more. Has a simple installation process (though it takes 20-30 minutes to setup) and the touchscreen display on board the printer is sleek and useful. Also, duplex scanning (semi-automatic) is possible something I use often.
Purchased this printer from the Flipkart Seller - RetailNet aka Tech Connect Retail Private Limited. The product was dead on arrival and was also not a sealed product! RetailNet mentions that they provide 10 days Guaranteed Replacement Policy, so I thought I could opt for it as I had not breached the 10 days Guaranteed Replacement Policy and so contacted Flipkart within these 10 days and asked for a replacement! To my surprise Flipkart customercare MISGUIDED me thrice to get the HP Service Equipment form from HP stating that the printer was 'dead on arrival'; after its ispected by the HP engineer; and that once I send this form to Flipkart, they will replace the printer for me. After all the hassles, I got the'dead on arrival' HP Service Equipment form and sent it immediately to Flipkart, only to hear from Flipkart that they cannot place the replacement request, as the printer was not available then. So, I waited the printer to be available in stock by RetailNet which came in just the next day and I placed the Replacement Request from my end and waited for an update from Flipkart's end! I get a call from Flipkart the next day stating that they cannot honour my replacement as RetailNet has denied service to my pincode 400067. i.e. Kandivali West, Link Road, Mumbai! My question to Flipkart and RetailNet is THEN HOW AT THE FIRST PLACE DID RETAILNET AND FLIPKART SERVICE MY PINCODE T ODELIVER ME THIS DEAD ON ARRIVAL PRINTER? IF it could be done then, then why not now??!! ALSO WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SELLER RetailNet's 10 days REPLACEMENT POLICY? There is no way that I can contact the seller and ask for a replacement directly as there are not contact details of the seller mentioned anywhere, not even on the packaging the printer came in! On going through the Flipkart and the seller RetailNet's 10 days REPLACEMENT POLICY. it is clearly mentioned that within the 10 days if the issue is notified and Flipkart is not able to solve it; then the seller RetailNet provides with a replacement from their end and they term it as a EASY REPLACEMENT! Well in my case, none of it happened as described in the policy and nor has the replacement process been so easy and complete! As per the 10 days REPLACEMENT POLICY: "If you have received a damaged or defective product or if it is not as described, you can raise a replacement request on the Website/App/Mobile site within 10 days of receiving the product. We shall help by verifying and trying to resolve your product issue as part of the return verification process. The seller will arrange for a replacement if the issue has not been resolved." ---- WHERE IS MY REPLACEMENT FLIPKART AND RETAILNET??? As per the Flipkart return's policy: "Returns Processing If you're facing any issues with a product purchased on Flipkart, we shall help by verifying and trying to resolve your product issue as part of the return verification process. The Issue resolution steps may be shared with you as self-help, or with assistance over call or a Flipkart (or partner) personnel may visit your place.The seller will arrange for a replacement if the issue has not been resolved. Issue resolution steps will be available for products like mobiles, tablets, laptops, large appliances, electronics, home appliances, furniture etc. In case the product is not in stock or has been permanently discontinued, the refund for the entire product or part(s) of the product will be provided by the seller." ------- IN MY CASE, FLIPKART WAS NOT ABLE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE, SO SHOULD NOT RETAILNET HONOUR THE REPLACEMENT AS PER THE 10 DAYS REPLACEMENT POLICY???? Replacement (Return ID: 1010687338990581725) - REQUESTED is the status in my orders list since 22nd August, 2016 and it says that my request is in processing! Flipkart is turning a blind eye to the atrocities and hardships caused to the customers by such sellers who can easily take customers for a ride by selling NOT SEALED, DEAD ON ARRIVAL PRODUCTS?? and flipkart markets that they sell 100% authentic new products; then what is the reason that the product was not sealed?? is it for quality check done by the seller/flipkart? and if it is so, then how was I still delivered a DEAD ON ARRIVAL product then?? ALL I WANT IS A REPLACEMENT FOR THIS PRODUCT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND NOT A REFUND; as that is a easy way for flipkart to eat away my referral reward, which Flipkart has stolen from me in the past as the order was cancelled by the seller after I placed the order using the referral rewards and my credit card, for which I only got the balance money paid by my card for the another account associated with my other mobile number! So first I wait for the order for a week and then I am suddenly notified that the order has been cancelled as eKart was not ready to pick up the order from the seller and then I wait for another 10-12 days for the refund minus the stolen referral reward! NOT AGAIN! AWAITING JUSTICE FROM FLIPKART AND RETAILNET'S END. HAVE ALL PROOF FOR THE SAME.
