The HP Envy X211-G004TU Ultrabook kicks off in an 11.6-inch multi touch widescreen LED backlit with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 and looks crisp and rich. Featuring the IPS technology, it offers crystal clear visibility from wider angles and is extremely responsive to touches. If you want to use it as a tablet, push the button on the top of the keyboard and unlock the upper half. However, you may face some problems while engaging the screen back to the docking base. Moreover, the screen is heavier than the bottom part.
Coming to the outfit, you are going to fall in love with this sexy body. It has a weight of 1.5 pounds in the tablet mode and 3.1 pounds in the computer mode. The brushed aluminium body looks posh in the natural silver color.
CPU and Platform
The tablet cum laptop is powered by the 1.8GHz Intel Atom Dual Core Z2760 2nd generation processor matched with a mere 2GB DDR3 RAM making it quite slow in terms of performance. This is quite disappointing considering the price. The graphics bit is managed by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3600. It runs 32 bit Windows 8 OS.
Camera, Storage and Multimedia
The HP Envy X211-G004TU Ultrabook shows off two stunning cameras on both panels. The screen has a powerful 8MP rear camera accompanied by a HP TrueVision Low Light HD webcam at the front. The device has a SSD storage space of 64GB. The stereo speakers in the keyboard base run on Beats Audio Ready technology. The tablet has some separate speakers as well.
Battery and Connectivity
The HP Envy X211-G004TU Ultrabook breaks all rules with a continuous service of up to 14 hours with a 2 cell Li-ion battery. Connectivity features are Ethernet port, HDMI out, NFC, multi card slot, VGA port, Bluetooth v4.0, WLAN and 2 USB 2.0 slots. One thing should be noted that the tablet is devoid of any slot.
