Seraiously Awesome phone!

I did insane amount of research before zeroing on to purchase this mobile. Here is the abstract of my research! This phone has the highest desired features to cost ratio among all the higher end Smartphones. It has absolutely no drawbacks, unlike the Samsung galaxy counterparts - which suffer from the absence of flash for camera, low resolution front camera and of course the plastic back body. If you compare with HTC Desire S, for just a little extra price, a bigger screen and higher resolution camera can be got. That's what I thought before buying the mobile. Now, let me describe the experience after buying it and using it continuously for 4-5 days.nnThe touch is pretty good and the screen is sufficiently bright. All the other features Gps, wireless tethering etc are funtioning as expected. When I bought this phone I had one specific target in mind i.e to be able to make Skype calls on 3G. Haven't tried the video calls yet (for the fear of 3G usage cost), but the voice calls so far have gone exceptionally well. Kudos to HTC Incredible S and Airtel 3G. Always thought that the only drawback possible with a touchscreen is the typing. But surprisingly, the 'touch typing' experience has been incredibly smooth. HTC widgets and the overall sense UI hasn't disappointed either. The 4'' screen is by no means cumbersome to carry and if you are not going to stuff the phone in an ungainly case it will not be trouble carrying it in your pocket.nnThe only flip side is that the battery needs recharging everyday. Well, I blame that more on Andorid OS than the phone itself.

Really Incredible

Ordered this phone and delivery was timely. The phone is really incredible as the name goes. I was a little confused to choose between the Desire HD and Incredible S. Finally made the right choice, the phone is sleek though it looks a little bulky in pictures because of the curve. It fits right into the hand, not too large, not too small. 4" is a pretty good size for a screen. Oh yes, did I not mention about the Gorilla glass that it has, it's been more than a week and I have been using it without a screen guard.

Disadvantage My own experience, I am using this phone since past 5 months

Iknow you all know the advantages of this phone by many sites. But disadvantages are:-nn1. If even a single drop of water falls on screen, the screen will stop working (not stop working but acting weirdly) until that single drop is removed.n2. When you snap a pic it will look awesome when you see that pic in mobile but quality goes down when you see that pic in laptop.n3. Android 2.2 is better than android 2.3.3 (my own experience). So dont update your mobile please.n4. HTC own preloaded navigation map is good and 3D but all the places is not mentioned and a bit slower than Google map.n5. Battery life is not more than 1 day(if internet is kept on).nnOtherwise it is awesome phone with killer look. A friend of mine is having iPhone 4. I also compared it with iPhone 4(not in hardware but in software), it beats iPhone 4 in many cases like camera, processing speed, video display, camcorder and the best thing is HTC Sense. nnEven Though this much disadvantages I'd give five star to this phone as nothing is perfect, but htis phone is almost flawless.

A nightmare from HTC

All say “S” stands for Super but I say it is Suffer. When I took this phone, I was amazed with its performance but when the problem came this become a big headache. A simple problem in Mic made me to shell out INR.7500/= as the Mic is in-built with Mother Board and for that problem I need to change the board. A horrible nightmare I already had and HTC is giving more big nightmare by delaying the service. Even after the promise of 5-10 days of servicing, they are still asking for excuses even after 20 days for a week more… More nightmare from HTC is the latest kits are having the same kind of configuration so be ready to shell out more on maintenance guys... So HTC now stands “Hell To Customer” for me…
