I wanted to inform all prospective buyers that the HTC One S variant that is being released in India is NOT the same as the one unveiled in the MWC or the one you'll see in most reviews and comparisons online.nnThis version of the One S has a 1.7 GHz, Dual Core Snapdragon S3 processor. The original One S comes with a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor on Krait architecture which blows most competition out of the market. (Dual-core speak). The S4 processor uses a 28 nanometer process. (smaller transistors, more scope for overclocking), processor cores use a totally new architecture called “Krait”, whereas the S3 uses the old "Scorpion" architecture. “Krait” supports dual channel memory, just makes everything significantly zippier. It supports a huge range of wireless standards too.nnThe reason the One S was touted to be such a great phone, was hugely because of the S4 on board which HTC have taken away from us. (Some supply shortage from Qualcomm they say). They've overclocked it to 1.7Ghz to keep the ignorant folk happy.nnNot that an average user will even be able to tell the difference, but as a matter of principle, i feel that HTC has palmed off an inferior device to us. Without expandable memory and a price just about 4k less than an SGS3, i would recommend you think wisely before buying this phone.
Come on HTC do you think Indian customers are fools and will part with their monies just because you are HTC ? Be warned that you will be wiped out of India soon if you do not give the second largest potential mobile phone market customers what they deserve. They will simply kick you out of India, you arrogant nincompoops. nnHTC One S is almost same as Sensation and Sensation XE with an overclocked previous gen Snapdragon processor save for some insignificant changes here and there, please do not take Indian customers as granted and repeatedly insult them by launching inferior products at such high price points. Do you think you can sell your phone just because it has ICS and Sense 4.0 and with such an inflated price tag. I think HTC is doomed in India, lest you start treating Indian customers with respect.nnYou have already delayed ICS updates to your existing customers in India just to sell your new products but soon customers will realize how you are cheating Indian customers. India is probably the last county of the world which will receive ICS update.nnI have already bought my last HTC Phone, a HTC sensation and I a m not buying a HTC ever again.
