vivo T5 Pro Expert Review Summary
Expert Rating:
![Dhruv Joshi]()
Verdict
The Vivo T5 Pro is a smartphone that performs consistently across different scenarios and can handle daily tasks without any stress. It delivers exceptional battery life, a great multimedia experience and has a good primary camera, all in a very comfortable form factor. The device makes some compromises to keep costs down but it still brings enough upgrades to be a good choice for general users who want stellar battery life.
Pros
- Feels light despite huge battery
- Sharp, vibrant display
- Decent primary camera
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- Inconsistent low light colours
- No telephoto lens
Deceptively lightweight design
+
The Vivo T5 Pro's in-hand feel is quite unbelievable for a device that comes with a 9000mAh+ battery. It feels just like a regular phone would, and a lot easier to manage. The handset also offers excellent IP ratings, making it very resistant to water and dust.

A powerbank or a phone?
+
Battery life is something you won't be concerned about with the Vivo T5 Pro. It easily delivers up to 2 days of usage with roughly 6 hours of SOT. Charging speeds are also positively impressive, taking just 55 minutes to top up the battery from 20 to 100 percent.

Big, bright and hard to fault
+
The T5 Pro's panel is better than its predecessor with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The visuals are bright, immersive and have excellent colours. The 144Hz refresh rate, however, is limited to just supported games. The speakers deliver decently balanced audio output, but the volume level feels lacking.

Acceptable performance, and that's okay
+
The Vivo T5 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, which delivers an acceptable performance output for most use cases. With UFS 3.1 storage, apps and multitasking performance remain reasonably smooth. The smartphone's gaming performance remains good too, with 120fps support on BGMI and just a 4-degree Celsius temperature for over an hour of gaming.

A good OS with some caveats
+
The Vivo T5 Pro comes with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. The OS delivers a smooth day-to-day experience and is very customisable with a bunch of useful utility features. The phone will receive up to 3 OS updates and 5 years of security patches, which is on par with the segment.

One lens short of greatness
+
The Vivo T5 Pro skips the periscope camera but uses the same primary sensor and selfie camera as its predecessor. In good lighting, both the primary and selfie cameras deliver great results with good colours, sharpness and rich details. In low light, however, the main camera can often make the colours too vibrant.
