HTC Desire 601 comes with bit sweet and bit salty mix of specifications. While the integration of Quad core processor is a welcome move, the device lacks a bit on camera and storage front. But then what you pay is what you get. If you want to save some bucks for the sake of a few pixels, consider this, the performance won't disappoint you.
Display, configuration and OS
HTC Desire 601 features a 4.5-inch screen with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution. The gadget is powered by the Quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB of RAM. HTC Desire 601 is running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with HTCĂ‚Â’s Sense UI on top.
Camera and storage
Decent quality video recording might be carried out through 5 Megapixels rear camera which has an additional feature of autofocus and LED flash. 0.3 Megapixels front VGA Camera can be utilized for sharing own snaps to loved ones. The gadget has a bit low 4GB Internal memory which might be expanded up to 64GB via the onboard microSD card slot.
Battery and connectivity
I am using Desire X, which makes me quite addicted to HTC. I was waiting eagerly for lunching this phone in India, as this is the cheapest HTC with all the specification I required. But, I am totally shocked and disappointed to see that in the Indian market version HTC has replaced the Snapdragon 400 processor by a cheaper Broadcom BCM23550 processor. Along with that the LTE support is also missing. HTC did the same thing earlier with One S also. HTC, we Indians are not that much fool as you think. Please stop being over-smart, if you want to save your market here.
