Acer has expanded its thin-and-light laptop lineup in India with the launch of the Swift Neo AI, which combines Intel Core Ultra processors with a lightweight design to cater to professionals, students and creators. The laptop weighs just 1.25kg and measures 17.2mm thick, while offering up to 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage. Let’s check it out in detail below:

Acer Swift Neo AI: specifications and features

The Swift Neo AI is available with Intel Core Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 H-series processors, which Acer says are designed to handle everyday productivity, multitasking and content creation. The processors also feature Intel AI Boost, allowing the laptop to handle supported AI workloads more efficiently.

The laptop comes with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD storage, giving users plenty of room for applications and files while helping with faster boot and load times. For visuals, you get a 14-inch WUXGA IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 1920 x 1200 resolution and up to 300 nits brightness. Acer also offers an OLED display option on select variants.

The machine weighs just 1.25kg and measures 17.2mm thick, making portability one of its biggest strengths. The laptop uses metal covers on the top and bottom, while the 180-degree hinge allows users to adjust the display more freely during work or collaboration.

Acer has equipped the Swift Neo AI with two full-function USB Type-C ports, which support charging, data transfer and display output. It also gets HDMI and additional USB ports, along with Wi-Fi 6 for wireless connectivity.

Other features include a 1080p Full HD webcam, dual speakers, backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader. The laptop runs Windows 11 Home with Microsoft Copilot and packs a 52Wh battery, with support for 65W USB Type-C fast charging.

Acer Swift Neo AI: should you buy it?

The Acer Swift Neo AI starts at Rs 67,999 and is available for purchase through Flipkart, Acer’s E-store and other retail channels. It sits in a competitive segment where portability is no longer enough on its own. One of its closest alternatives is the MotoBook 60 Pro, which offers a similar hardware package but adds an OLED display on select configurations and has a more distinctive design. Motorola also benefits from Lenovo’s backing, which gives it some reassurance when it comes to build quality and after-sales support.

Acer, however, sticks to a more familiar laptop design, which may appeal to users who prefer something less flashy. It also has an advantage when it comes to memory, with configurations offering up to 32GB RAM, while Motorola’s soldered memory limits future upgrades.

That makes the Swift Neo AI a decent choice based on your priorities. It doesn’t necessarily have the flashiest design or display in this segment, but its lightweight build and higher memory ceiling make it a good option for professionals and students who prioritise portability and long-term usability.
