Following the release of a couple of wearable devices last week, such as the NovaPods and NovaWatch, Ai+ today pulled the wraps off its third smartphone, the Pulse 2. As a successor to the entry-level Ai+ Pulse 1, the Pulse 2 is heavily focused towards users who want a smartphone for casual tasks and use cases starting as low as Rs 5,999.
With the sale of Ai+ Pulse 2 going live on Flipkart and Shopsy starting March 11th at 12 PM, the budget smartphone will be available in two storage variants, namely 4+64GB at Rs 5,999 and 6+128GB at Rs 7,999. However, these prices are valid for the first 24 hours only, starting from when the sale goes live. Since the brand hasn’t revealed the actual non-sale prices, we’ll update the article with the exact pricing once the details are available.

Moving on to the specifications on offer, the Ai+ Pulse 2 gets a 6.74-inch HD+ display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and 450 nits typical brightness, an upgrade over Pulse 1’s 90Hz refresh rate panel. Another area where the Pulse 2 sees an improvement over its predecessor is in the front camera optics, where the sensor has been upgraded from a 5MP to an 8MP unit, which should ideally result in a tad clearer selfies and video call quality.
Coming to the headlining aspects, the Ai+ Pulse gains a large 6,000mAh battery in a segment populated by phones coming with 5,000mAh cells. While the brand hasn’t detailed how fast the smartphone can charge, the Pulse 2 will come with an 18W charger. Similarly, while many newly released sub-Rs-10,000 phones continue to run on Android 15, the Pulse 2 flaunts the Android 16-based NxtQuantum OS, Ai+’s custom skin.
At the rear, the Pulse 2 houses 50MP Dual AI rear cameras, just like the Pulse 1. Powering the device is the highly popular 12nm-based budget processor, the Unisoc T7250 chipset, equipped with an octa-core CPU with up to 1.8GHz clock speeds. Considering the sale price of Rs 5,999, offering the said chipset under Rs 6,000 is an impressive feat for Ai+. Reason being, this is the same processor we recently saw on the Realme P4 Lite and Tecno Spark Go 3, priced at Rs 9,999 and 8,999, respectively.
