Boltt Ace and Evo display details revealed
Boltt claims that the Ace and Evo smartphones will offer a “large, smooth, and bright viewing experience to users”. Despite the price differences, both devices will be equipped with a 6.79-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 × 1640 and a pixel density of 263ppi. The panels will feature a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits peak brightness. It’s also worth noting that a punch-hole cutout will be present to feature the front-facing camera, resulting in an immersive viewing experience.

While these are the standard set of display specifications found on most smartphones under Rs 20,000 these days, it remains to be seen how the panels have been tuned. The display’s contrast, vibrancy, viewing angles, and brightness performance under sunlight matter as much as the specifications.
Flipkart teases key specifications of Boltt Ace and Evo
Per the Flipkart teaser, both handsets will feature a large 6,000mAh battery. While the Boltt Ace supports 18W fast charging, the charging speeds of the Boltt Evo haven’t been revealed. Moving on, Boltt says that the 64MP and 50MP primary cameras of the Ace and Evo, respectively, are powered by Google Gemini, hinting that AI enhancements could be on the way to improve the pictures after you click.
Boltt has set up over 480 service partners across India that offer walk-in support and end-to-end repairs, so users can get the issues they’re facing with their Boltt smartphones fixed. Besides that, both phones will sport a close-to-stock Android interface with no bloatware, as assured by Arnav Kishore, Founder & CEO of Boltt, in a conversation with 91mobiles.
Given the sub-Rs 20,000 price, the Boltt Ace and Evo could stand as alternative choices to the recently released Lava Virat V1 4G and Lava Virat V1 5G (review), both of which sell under Rs 15,000, at least at this point time. Those smartphones also carry a bloatware-free software and flaunt HD+ displays. Therefore, it could be worth waiting for Boltt smartphones, especially if the offer a distinct software experience compared to the competition.
