CMF Headphone Pro, brand’s first over-ear headphones, launching in India on January 13th
India-based CMF, also a sub-brand of Carl Pei’s Nothing, is gearing up to grow its wearables and audio range in the country with the CMF Headphone Pro, its first wireless over-ear headphones. The company has locked in an official India launch for the Headphone Pro on January 13th. They had also earlier confirmed the CMF Watch 3 Pro was coming to India, but no exact date for the smartwatch has dropped yet.
Both products launched in select international markets last year and have been some of CMF’s strongest performers worldwide. The Indian versions should keep nearly all the same hardware, features, and design vibe, with pricing and availability info coming closer to the debut.

The CMF Headphone Pro is a big move for the brand, diving into over-ears for the first time. It swaps the stark, industrial look of the Nothing Headphone (1) for something more fun and youthful. You’ll find it in Light Green, Light Grey, and Dark Grey colour options, complete with swappable ear cushions in Light Green and Orange to tweak the style however you like, which is typical of CMF.
What stands out most about the Headphone Pro is its controls setup. Rather than just touch gestures, CMF mixes in a roller dial, an energy slider, and a customisable physical button. You can remap all the controls through the companion Nothing X app, which will appeal to people who prefer physical tactile feedback instead of relying solely on touchscreens.
Audio-wise, it packs 40mm drivers with LDAC and Hi-Res support, putting it ahead of most budget wireless headphones. Active noise cancellation hits up to 40dB reduction, adjustable via the Nothing X app. That lines it up straight against heavyweights like the Sony WH-CH720N and JBL Live series, which rule India’s sub-Rs 10,000 over-ear market.
Battery is where CMF seems set to gain an advantage. They claim up to 100 hours of playback without ANC, or about 50 hours with it on. That puts it ahead of many budget rivals like the Sony WH-CH720N, which offers about 35 hours with noise cancellation enabled. Even some mid-range competitors still don’t match CMF’s off-ANC runtime. USB Type-C fast charging is supported, which should help reduce downtime for heavy users.
Price-wise, overseas, the CMF Headphone Pro goes for around USD 99 in the US, which is roughly Rs 9,000. We don’t have the India pricing yet, but CMF’s history points to an aggressive strategy of undercutting or matching the competition.
If it lands at a good price, the Headphone Pro could be a real contender for anyone chasing long battery, proper physical controls, and solid audio perks without flagship costs. That said, sound signature and ANC effectiveness will make or break it, so waiting on proper reviews makes sense.
