Hisense launches RGB MiniLED TV series in India, starting at Rs 1,19,990

Hisense India has launched the UR8S RGB MiniLED TV Series. With the launch, the brand brings its proprietary RGB MiniLED display technology to mainstream screen sizes. It was first introduced through the UX Series for ultra-large screen buyers. The UR8S targets users looking for premium display performance at a more accessible price point than the brand’s flagship lineup.

Launch offer and availability

With a starting price of Rs 1,19,000, the UR8S is targeted towards more price-conscious TV buyers. It features more mainstream screen sizes such as 55, 65, and 75-inch variants. The UR8S is available through retail partners including Satya, Nandilath, MyG, Great Eastern, Patra Electronics, and Khosla, as well as Amazon and Flipkart.

To mark the launch, Hisense is running an RGB Special Sellout Offer covering cashback of up to Rs 10,000, a two-year comprehensive warranty, one free EMI, zero down payment, and fixed EMI options.

Display and picture quality

Hisense brands itself as the originator of RGB MiniLED technology, which uses separate red, green, and blue LED light sources rather than a conventional white LED backlight. The result is a wider colour gamut, more precise local dimming, and higher colour accuracy than standard MiniLED implementations. The UR8S peaks at 3,500 nits of brightness, features a native 180Hz refresh rate for smooth motion, and includes Anti-Reflection and Glare-Free technology for daytime viewing in bright rooms. An AI RGB Light Sensor adjusts picture settings automatically based on ambient lighting conditions.

Picture processing is handled by the Hi-View AI Engine RGB, Hisense’s most advanced AI processor, which optimises colour, brightness, and contrast in real time. The panel supports Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, and Filmmaker Mode for content-accurate playback.

Audio and smart platform

Audio is handled by a 2.1.2 Multi-Channel Surround Sound system with Dolby Atmos support. The UR8S runs on VIDAA, Hisense’s proprietary smart TV operating system. This system is independently recognised as the fastest Smart TV OS in the market based on the WEKA Media Publishing TVOS Benchmark Report from August 2025. The platform also supports Hands-free Voice Control, VIDAA Voice, Alexa Built-in, Google Home, Apple AirPlay, and Apple Home. The ultra-slim bezel-less design completes the premium aesthetic.

The UR8S enters a competitive premium TV segment alongside LG’s QNED evo Mini LED and Samsung’s Neo QLED range. Hisense’s RGB MiniLED approach differs from conventional MiniLED in using tri-colour LED sources, which delivers a measurably wider colour gamut than white-LED MiniLED implementations at equivalent brightness levels.

At Rs 1,19,990 for the 55-inch entry point, the UR8S is priced competitively against LG’s QNED85 and Samsung’s QN85D in the same size. The UR8S is worth looking at if colour quality and brightness matter more to you than buying a well-known brand. With 3,500 nits of brightness and a 180Hz refresh rate, HDR movies and fast-moving sports look incredible. Plus, the fast VIDAA smart platform makes daily navigation feel noticeably quicker than its rivals.
