The Infinix Hot 70 Pro seems to be launching soon, as we’ve spotted a fresh Geekbench listing that offers an early look at what the phone may bring. The device has surfaced before any official launch announcement, giving us a better idea of its possible hardware. For context, an Infinix Hot 70 has already launched in Indonesia, but the Geekbench listing suggests hardware differences between the two regional launches. Let’s check it out below.
The Geekbench listing shows the model number X6896, along with Android 16 and 8GB of RAM. The memory section lists 7.37GB of usable RAM, which usually means the device is fitted with 8GB RAM in total. The benchmark result itself also shows respectable performance numbers, with 978 in single-core testing and 2,843 in multi-core testing.
A separate code image adds another important clue here, as it lists the GPU as Mali-G610 MC2, which is used in the Dimensity 7100 chipset. The chipset has also been used in the Infinix Note Edge (review), which launched back in February and posted similar Geekbench results.
Traditionally, the Infinix Hot series sits under the Edge series in pricing and currently the Note Edge retails for Rs 22,999. It is likely the Hot 70 Pro will launch under the sub-Rs 20,000 bracket unless the Note Edge undergoes a price hike, which has been the norm for brands as of late.
There is no direct predecessor to the Hot 70 Pro, but compared with the Hot 60, which used the Dimensity 7020, the new model appears to bring a modest performance upgrade. Other hardware such as the display, battery size, camera setup and charging speed may stay largely the same, with the main improvement centred on the processor and RAM.
The Dimensity 7100-class chipset would place the Hot 70 Pro in a more competitive spot against other sub-Rs 20,000 phones that now focus on bigger batteries. Going by what the Indonesian variant of the Hot 70, it seems to be a phone designed for everyday use for an average user. Buyers prioritising battery life, a premium and unique design, and a smooth display may find it appealing.
It would still make sense to wait for reviews or compare with rivals before making a buying decision. We’ll know more details once the phone nears launch. Until then it’s tricky to make an informed decision wether the device is worth investing in.
