Till now, Apple was one of the few OEMs to not raise prices of their smartphones due to the ongoing memory crisis. Seems that is going to change soon if a new tip is to be believed. Tipster Sanju Choudhary has shared a list of revised prices for the iPhone 17 series, iPhone 17e and iPhone Air, with increases ranging from Rs 10,000 to as much as Rs 35,000. Apple hasn’t commented on the new prices yet, so it should be treated as speculation for now.
iPhone 17 series tipped price hike
According to the tipster, the iPhone 17 could see its price rise from Rs 82,990 to Rs 94,900. The iPhone 17e is tipped to go from Rs 64,900 to Rs 74,900, while the iPhone Air could jump from Rs 1,19,900 to Rs 1,34,900.

The biggest increases are expected for the Pro models. The iPhone 17 Pro, currently priced at Rs 1,34,900, is tipped to cost between Rs 1,54,900 and Rs 1,69,900. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro Max could reportedly climb from Rs 1,49,900 to anywhere between Rs 1,84,900 and Rs 1,99,900.
The prediction also comes after Apple recently increased prices of several products in India, including select MacBooks, iPads and the HomePod. Separately, leaks have suggested that the upcoming iPhone 18 series could also debut at higher prices, indicating that Apple may be preparing for a broader pricing shift across its product lineup.
When should you buy the iPhone 17 series?
If these prices come into effect, Apple’s premium phones would become considerably more expensive than flagship Android rivals. While Apple’s ecosystem continues to be a major draw for many buyers, such steep price revisions could make premium Android alternatives more attractive from a value perspective.
If you’ve been planning to buy an iPhone, the upcoming Flipkart GOAT Sale may be your best opportunity.
