iQOO 15 launched in India with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, 7,000mAh battery, 2K AMOLED display, and more: price, availability
iQOO 15 is the third smartphone to launch in India with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. The OnePlus 15 is the first, followed by the Realme GT 8 Pro – both of them have been priced at Rs 72,999. The iQOO 15 undercuts them both with its starting price of Rs 64,999 for the base 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 16GB RAM + 512GB variant, on the other hand, costs Rs 71,999. These figures include limited-period launch incentives, such as a flat Rs 7,000 with bank discount or an eligible exchange and a further Rs 1,000 off via a coupon.
The original price of the iQOO 15 is the same as the OnePlus 15 and Realme GT 8 Pro. The 12GB variant costs 72,999, whereas the top-end 16GB variant will set you back to Rs 79,999. These prices are higher than last year’s iQOO 13, which came with a sticker price of Rs 54,999. The jump in price tag is due to the rising cost of components, such as memory, which iQOO CEO Nipun Marya notes has gone through the roof in an interview with 91mobiles.

Marya added that the iQOO 15 is still focused on delivering the best possible flagship experience, and unlike the OnePlus 15, it aims to be a true all-rounder. The phone features India’s largest 8,000mm2 cooling system in a smartphone, helping the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 sustain peak performance for longer sessions without heating up. Anyone who plays demanding games will appreciate how crucial sustained thermal efficiency is.
There’s also a self-developed SuperComputing Chip Q3, designed to bring PC-grade visual enhancements to mobile gaming. It enables the iQOO 15 to reach up to 144 FPS, which may fall short of the OnePlus 15’s 165 FPS for select games, but promises smooth gaming and visual fidelity over its predecessor. The phone also comes with ray tracing technology for a lifelike gaming experience.
Complementing the visuals, the iQOO 15 features a 6.85-inch Samsung 2K M14 Lead OLED panel. It’s the first non-polarised display of its kind and uses Samsung’s latest M14 emitting material, which promises higher brightness, lower power consumption, and improved longevity over conventional OLEDs. It’s particularly notable to see a non-Samsung handset debut this new technology.
The display can reach 6,000 nits at peak brightness and 2,600 nits in HBM mode. At the other end of the scale, it can dim down to just 1 nit in low-light settings to reduce eye strain and conserve battery. The display also supports a dynamic refresh rate that scales from as low as 1Hz to as high as 144Hz, adjusting intelligently based on the content being viewed.
Supporting that display is a 7,000mAh battery – a bump of 1,000mAh from its predecessor, packed inside a phone that measures 8.17mm thick and weighs anywhere between 216.2 and 220 grams. However, the iQOO 15 battery trails behind other contemporary flagships, including the OnePlus 15, OPPO Find X9, and Realme GT 8 Pro. It will be interesting to see how well the device is optimised.
The handset supports 100W FlashCharge for wired charging, which means the device should take no time to charge its large dead battery to full 100 percent. The compatible charger is provided in the box. Moreover, for the first time ever, iQOO has added wireless charging capabilities to its flagship. The iQOO 15 supports up to 40W wireless charging.
The iQOO 15 also makes a strong impression with its camera system. While it does not carry branding from partners such as Hasselblad, Ricoh, or Leica, it still offers a capable triple 50MP rear setup. The main camera uses a large 50MP Sony IMX921 VCS sensor with OIS – the same unit seen on the Vivo T3 Ultra, which delivered detailed images with vivid colours in real-world tests.
Unlike the Vivo model, however, iQOO complements this sensor with a notably stronger 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP Sony IMX882 OIS periscope telephoto lens capable of up to 3x optical zoom, allowing for greater versatility and improved image quality across focal lengths.
iQOO has introduced several new filters, including Negative, Positive, Clear Blue, and CCD, to the smartphone to enhance its portrait photography. For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 32MP snapper in the punch-hole setup that also offers support for up to 4K video recording.
On the software side, the iQOO 15 ships with Android 16-based OriginOS 6, the brand’s latest custom interface that now replaces FunTouchOS. We have already explored the software experience in detail in a separate hands-on piece, which you can check out. While the phone does not come packed with a wide range of AI capabilities, it does include a few practical tools, such as AI Visuals for changing photo backgrounds, AI reflection removal, and additional smart enhancements that add extra convenience to everyday use.
Design is perhaps the least exciting aspect of the iQOO 15. While the company has improved durability with an impressive IP69 rating in addition to IP68, meaning it can withstand high temperatures and strong water jets, the overall look remains familiar. The phone carries forward iQOO’s established design language, including the signature squircle camera module. It isn’t unattractive by any means, but it does little to differentiate the handset visually from its predecessors or the competition. That said, the OEM has made the edges flat to make the device more ergonomic.
Other features include up to 3,200Hz touch sampling rate, ultrasonic 3D fingerprint scanner, industry’s first MAX dual-axis vibration motor, and Monster Halo light hidden beneath the camera module. The latter lights up for notifications, calls, music, charging, NFC, Power-on, NFC, and more. The light can be customised from the settings app.
