Some new details about the iQOO 16T have appeared in a new Weibo post, revealing some information about the phone’s possible hardware. According to the post, iQOO may be testing a 200MP main camera along with a cooling system that combines liquid cooling and air cooling. Let’s check it out in detail below.

iQOO 16T: leaked specifications, features
The information comes from Smart Pikachu, a well-known Weibo tipster, who in a recent post said that the upcoming iQOO 16T, is being tested with both liquid and air cooling. The post also mentions a 200MP main camera and says the phone may not include a periscope telephoto camera.
The post does not reveal many details about the cooling system, but the mention of both liquid and air cooling suggests that iQOO could be working on a more advanced setup for managing heat.
Earlier leaks had also pointed to a built-in cooling fan, although it is not clear if that fan is part of the same system or if the design has changed during testing. In the comments, Smart Pikachu added that the 200MP camera could use a 1/1.28-inch sensor, which would make it larger than the sensor used on the iQOO 15T.
The lack of a periscope camera could disappoint users who expected a more complete camera setup, especially if iQOO keeps the 200MP main camera mainly for high-resolution photos and cropping.
An earlier report claimed that iQOO was testing an iQOO 16T prototype with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. The company was also reportedly testing another version with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 chip, a built-in cooling fan, and a flat 2K Samsung display.
The earlier leak also suggested that iQOO was designing the 16T for demanding gaming and heavy workloads. That fits nicely with the latest report about liquid and air cooling, as well as the possible 200MP main camera.
With multiple leaks now pointing to the same features, these rumours could turn out to be accurate. If that happens, the iQOO 16T could follow in the footsteps of the iQOO 15T as a performance-first phone, with its cooling system and powerful chipset aimed at gamers and users who want strong sustained performance.
Should you wait for the iQOO 16T?
For buyers in India, waiting for the iQOO 16T may not make much sense. iQOO last launched a T-series phone in India in 2022 with the iQOO 9T. The company launched the newer iQOO 15T in China last year but did not bring it to India. There is currently no official word about an Indian launch for the iQOO 16T either, so the phone appears more likely to remain a China-focused model, at least for now.
The ongoing memory shortage also makes an Indian launch harder to predict. If iQOO brings the 16T to India, its powerful chipset, high-speed memory, large storage, and advanced cooling system could make it much more expensive than what’s expected.
