Motorola is showing no signs of slowing down, and why should it?. The brand recently climbed to the fifth spot among the top smartphone brands in India in Q1 2026, according to the latest IDC report. Much of this momentum can be attributed to its aggressive smartphone launch strategy. Continuing on that success, Motorola has now confirmed the launch of two new budget offerings, the Moto G37 and Moto G37 Power, in India. The announcement comes just days after the company introduced its first-ever Razr Fold in the country.

Moto G37 series India launch date, availability

The Moto G37 and G37 Power are set to launch in India on May 19th. The company has posted the details on its official social media channel, X. Alongside the launch date, the OEM has also confirmed the availability of the smartphones on Flipkart, key specifications, and colour options.
Moto G37 and G37 Power specifications
Motorola has confirmed that the Moto G37 series will pack a massive 7,000mAh battery alongside the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset. The phones will also feature Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic protection and MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification, suggesting improved durability against everyday drops, scratches, and rough usage, a feature typically seen on Motorola’s more premium smartphones. This will also give the series an edge over its rivals, which currently lack military-grade durability.
The teaser also confirms the Moto G37 series in blue and turquoise green colour options. The phones retain Motorola’s familiar design language, featuring four individual camera rings placed on a raised square camera module that blends seamlessly into the rear panel, along with relatively flat edges for a modern look.

That is all Motorola has officially revealed so far. Interestingly, however, the smartphones were recently launched in European markets, giving us a clearer idea of what to expect from the upcoming handsets. The global variants are powered by the slightly less capable MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, whereas the India models are confirmed to feature the newer Dimensity 6400 SoC.
Furthermore, the European units confirm the 7,000mAh battery exclusive to the Moto G37 Power. It is backed by 30W wired fast charging for quick top-ups, and a full charge is claimed to provide up to 78 hours of usage. The vanilla Moto G37 rocks a 5,200mAh battery with 20W TurboPower charging and 6W reverse wired charging.
Apart from these, both phones seem to be offering identical specifications.
- Android 16-based Hello UI
- 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display, 120Hz refresh rate, 1,050 nits brightness
- 4GB LPDDR4X RAM + 128GB/ 256GB user-expandable storage
- 50MP main camera + 8MP front camera
- Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res audio
- Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, a 3.5mm headphone jack
- Side-mounted fingerprint scanner
- IP64 water and dust resistance rating
The Moto G37 series is priced in Europe starting at EUR 249 (~Rs 27,000). The Indian pricing of the smartphones could be much more competitive. If that happens, the handsets could become strong contenders in the affordable 5G segment. The Moto G37 and G37 Power do not necessarily push boundaries in areas like display resolution or camera hardware, but they focus on practical features that matter to mainstream buyers, such as battery life, durability, clean software, and smooth day-to-day usability.
