Verdict

From our tests so far, the Realme 12 Pro+ emerges as the winner and offers a better battery life compared to the Motorola Edge 50 Pro. While the difference is evident, it is important to note that despite using a smaller 4,500mAh cell, the Edge 50 Pro offers a comparable battery output, just slightly behind the Realme 12 Pro+. This is likely due to the near-stock Android UI and better optimisation on the Motorola Edge 50 Pro.

If battery life is your top priority, the Realme 12 Pro+ could be the better choice between the two. It even comes with a dedicated 64MP periscope camera, a stellar design, and decent everyday performance. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro features a dedicated 10MP telephoto lens instead, a clean stock Android-like UI, IP68 water and dust resistance, and 125W fast charging support. If these features appeal to you, the Edge 50 Pro is a compelling choice.
