Motorola scheduled a launch event for April 24th, where it is expected to unveil the Razr 60 series foldables. Recent leaks have hinted that there may not be any major design changes over the previous generation, the Razr 50. This means the improvements could be limited to hardware. To find that out, 91mobiles exclusively brings you the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra complete specifications, in association with Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka OnLeaks.
Motorola’s Razr series devices are ideal for users who are interested in a foldable form factor but can’t afford ultra premium prices, like those of the Samsung’s Galaxy S series foldables, Vivo foldables, etc.
As per OnLeaks, the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will get a 7-inch (1440p) Super HD LTPO AMOLED display with 120 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 10-bit, 130Hz/300Hz (game mode) touch response rate, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision. This is a slight jump from the 6.9-inch panel on the Razr 50 Ultra.
The handset could get a 4-inch pOLED flexible LTPO AMOLED cover screen with HDR10+, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR 10-bit, 165Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, and 120Hz/165Hz touch sampling rate. If the specifications hold true, this could be one of the highest refresh rate panels in a foldable.
The foldable could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite paired with Adreno GPU for graphics. This is an upgrade from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. Motorola Razr 60 Ultra will also be the first foldable to feature this chipset. It’s tipped to come with 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 non-expandable storage.
The Razr 60 Ultra is said to feature a 50MP OIS primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 50MP ultra-wide lens with macro function. In comparison, the Razr 50 Ultra featured a 50MP telephoto lens instead of the ultrawide lens. It could get a 50MP snapper on the front for selfies. This is an upgrade from the 32MP lens on the predecessor.
The Razr 60 Ultra is said to pack a 4,700mAh battery with 68W TurboPower wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging. In comparison, the Razr 50 Ultra has a 4,000mAh battery, 44W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The Razr 60 Ultra could measure 73.99 X 171.48 X 7.29 (when open)/ 73.99 X 88.12 X 15.69 (when closed) and weigh 199 grams.
On the software front, the foldable will most likely run Android 15 OS out of the box. Its connectivity options include Dual SIM, 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5G/6/6E/7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The foldable is also said to be equipped with a fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, and gyroscope. The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra is expected to come with battery, fast charging, chipset, and front camera upgrades over the Razr 50 Ultra. While the price details are under wraps, a recent retailer listing leak suggested the foldable could cost EUR 1,346.90 (around Rs 1,31,000) for the 12GB/512GB version. The handset might launch in red, green, wood, black, and pink colours. The renders were leaked in February, showing a familiar design.
To recall, the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra was launched in India at Rs 99,999 and there’s a good chance that the new Razr 60 Ultra will have a similar launch price.
