Motorola Razr 60 is now among the most affordable foldables in India but should you get one?

Highlights

Diwali sales are live, and smartphone brands are making the most of them. Motorola has joined the bandwagon and is offering a major price drop on its phones, including a massive Rs 10,000 off on its entry foldable, the Motorola Razr 60. Priced at Rs 49,999 at launch for the sole 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, the phone is now available for Rs 39,999 in Flipkart’s Big Bang Diwali Sale. It makes for a tempting option for buyers who want a foldable but do not wish to pay a premium-tier price tag.

Foldable phones have slowly evolved from prototypes to premium slab phones, but prices have been a bit of a dampener, especially for early adopters on a budget. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Flip7 FE, launched in July 2025, retail between Rs 75,000 and Rs 1,00,000, with little room for mass adoption. The Motorola Razr 60, which debuted about a couple of weeks ahead of the Samsung clamshells, is priced at half the price point and makes foldable tech accessible to mid-range consumers. OPPO and Tecno also sell clamshell foldables in India, but they haven’t updated their lineup since 2023. Their phones, the OPPO Find N3 Flip and the Tecno Phantom V Flip2, may occasionally be available at similar prices, though they’re mostly out of stock.
