Nothing could be preparing to expand its wireless earbuds lineup with a new Pro model. The company has teased an upcoming product on its community page, using a reference to Kingdra, a Water-type Pokemon. While the post doesn’t name the product or give a launch date, an earlier discovery of a Nothing Ear (3) Pro support page suggests that the upcoming launch could be related to the earbuds.
Nothing Ear (3) Pro launch expected
A member of Nothing’s team shared an image on the community page of Kingdra with the caption, “It sleeps deep on the ocean floor to build its energy. It is said to cause tornadoes as it wakes.” The post also carries a “Coming Soon” message.
Nothing has previously used Pokemon names as internal codenames for its products, but there’s no established pattern linking particular Pokemon types to specific product categories. The Kingdra alone doesn’t confirm what the company is preparing to launch. However, Reddit user Link_2011A reportedly found a support page for the Nothing Ear (3) Pro around two months ago, with the codename “Kingdra” linked to the earbuds. The page was subsequently taken down. The earlier discovery, combined with the latest teaser, lends weight to speculation that Nothing’s next product could be its first Pro-tier earbuds.
Nothing launched the Ear (3) in September 2025, followed by the more affordable Ear (3a) in July 2026. A Pro model would sit above these options and could compete with premium earbuds such as the Apple AirPods Pro 3 and Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro.
The existing Nothing Ear (3) feature 12 mm dynamic drivers, 45dB active noise cancellation (ANC), LDAC support and Static Spatial Audio. They offer up to 10 hours of playback on a 55mAh battery, with wireless charging available through the case. The earbuds also have an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Nothing hasn’t revealed anything about the Ear (3) Pro yet. Improvements to noise cancellation and battery life would make sense for a higher-end model. Better call quality, sound tuning or spatial audio could also help distinguish the Pro earbuds from the standard version.
Nothing has not announced a launch date or confirmed the name of its upcoming product. The “Coming Soon” teaser suggests an announcement could be approaching, but details on pricing and availability remain unknown.
If the Ear (3) Pro launches, its price will be important. The standard Ear (3) already offers features such as LDAC and wireless charging, so the Pro model would need meaningful improvements to justify the extra cost. Until Nothing shares more details, buyers looking for new earbuds may want to wait before deciding whether the upcoming model is worth holding out for.
