Gaming test

For the gaming test, we played BGMI at the ‘Ultra HDR’ graphical settings on the Nord CE4 and ‘Very High’ graphical settings on the POCO X6 Pro, the maximum supported settings for both phones, to gauge their real-life performance. The gameplay experience was excellent on both devices, with vibrant colours and no visible lags or stutters, offering a stable frame rate. When it comes to thermal management, the POCO X6 Pro performed better in comparison to the Nord CE4, with a rise in temperature of 4.3 degrees C, while the Nord CE4 showed a spike of 8.1 degrees C. The X6 Pro wins the gaming round owing to its superior thermal management.

Verdict

In our performance comparison between the OnePlus Nord CE4 and the POCO X6 Pro, the latter emerges as the winner. Whether it was the benchmark scores, the raw horsepower provided by the chipset, or even the day-to-day performance in real-world scenarios, the POCO X6 Pro simply came out on top. This doesn’t mean that the Nord CE4 is a slouch by any means. In fact, it can go toe-to-toe with most other handsets in this price range. It is just that the X6 Pro simply packs more powerful hardware and outshines every other phone in this price segment in terms of performance right now.

If you want to make your purchase decision simply based on performance potential, the POCO X6 Pro is indeed the clear winner here. However, if you do not push your phone to the extreme on most days, and prefer the software, design, and camera performance of the Nord CE4, you can look in that direction too.
