Alleged OnePlus Pad 4 surfaces on Geekbench with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 ahead of India launch

OnePlus has started teasing its next tablet in India, and while the company is keeping details under wraps for now, early leaks tell what to expect. The upcoming device, likely to be called the OnePlus Pad 4, or, as reports allege, the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro, will pack Qualcomm’s current flagship chipset, a Geekbench listing has revealed.

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Indian/global variant, identified as OPD2514, is tipped to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with 12GB RAM and Android 16. Geekbench scores shared by the tipster show 3,467 in single-core and 10,377 in multi-core tests, which puts it in line with current high-end devices. The chip is said to use a 2+6 core setup, with peak clock speeds going up to 4.61GHz, alongside an Adreno 840 GPU.

OnePlus teases new tablet in India: could be the flagship

OnePlus hasn’t confirmed the name or specs yet, but the teaser image does most of the talking. The camera module and three-pin connector placement closely resemble what’s expected from the upcoming OPPO Pad 5 Pro. That has led to the usual speculation that this could be another case of OnePlus adapting OPPO hardware for global markets.

If the OPPO connection holds, the OnePlus tablet could inherit a 13.2-inch LCD display, a 13,380mAh battery, 80W charging, and colour options such as Dawn Gold, Mocha Brown, and Monet Purple. In tablet terms, that battery would be one of the larger ones in the category. OPPO is set to launch the Pad 5 Pro in China on April 21st, which gives a rough window for when the OnePlus version could follow.

For some context on where it might stand in the market, the OnePlus Pad 3 (long-term review) launched in India in June 2025, starting at Rs 47,999. It offered a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 13.2-inch 3.4K display, and a 12,140mAh battery, making it a performance-focused option in the Android tablet space.

For buyers, the Pad 4/Pad 3 Pro looks worth waiting for if you want a high-performance Android tablet with a large screen and long battery life. It should be especially appealing for work, entertainment, and gaming, where a flagship chip and big panel matter most. But pricing will be the real deciding factor. The current OnePlus Pad 3 starts under Rs 50,000 in India, so if the new model climbs much higher, rivals from Samsung, Xiaomi, and even OnePlus’ own Pad 3 could still offer better value depending on needs. If OnePlus keeps the price close to the current Pad 3, this could become one of the most interesting Android tablets to watch in India.
