OPPO is preparing to introduce its new mid-range smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the OPPO F31 series. Industry sources have told 91mobiles that the lineup will include three models: OPPO F31, OPPO F31 Pro, and OPPO F31 Pro+. These devices will succeed the OPPO F29 and F29 Pro, which debuted in the country earlier this March. OPPO is adding a Pro+ variant to the upcoming F-series, positioning it as the top-end model. With three options in the lineup, OPPO aims to strengthen its presence in the mid-range segment and cater to a broader audience.
Based on the shared details, the OPPO F31 series is tipped to feature a 7,000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging support. This would be the largest battery ever offered by OPPO for its F-series. Previously, OPPO launched the OPPO F29 and F29 Pro, both featuring a 6,500mAh battery. Logically, the upcoming phones should deliver better battery life, possibly extending to two full days, depending on the usage.
By launching the OPPO F31 series with a 7,000mAh battery, OPPO is signalling its intention to be part of the current trend of large battery phones, aiming to attract buyers who love to binge-watch or game on their phones or power users who hate carrying chargers. We already have several devices in the mid-range and budget categories offering 7,000mAh and higher battery, such as the Realme 15, OnePlus Nord CE5, and Vivo T4. So, the F31 phones won’t be the first, but they will serve as alternatives to existing options.
The OPPO F31 series will feature a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor at the back, industry sources have told us. For selfies, the new OPPO phones will house a 32MP front camera. In comparison to the OPPO F29 series, the upgrade here would be the selfie camera, as the previous models have a 16MP sensor. The rear cameras remain unchanged, but it’s not clear if this setup is standard among all three F31 phones or not. We should gain better clarity once the official details are released.
The OPPO F31 Pro+, the top-end model in the series, is rumoured to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, a 4nm chip with clock speeds of up to 2.63GHz. While this marks an upgrade over the F29’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, the chipset itself is a generation old and has been succeeded by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
How the F31 Pro+ fares in real-world performance will depend on official confirmation and reviews, but it’s clear the phone will face stiff competition. That said, OPPO’s F-series has traditionally emphasised design, durability, battery life, and camera performance as its key strengths.

Speaking of durability, the F31 lineup will come with triple IP ratings: IP66, IP68, and IP69. This will make all three phones among the most durable against dust and water in their segment. We also have details of the OPPO F31 series’ colour options. The OPPO F31 will be available in Blue, Green, and Red, the F31 Pro in Gold and Grey, and the F31 Pro+ in Blue, White, and Pink.

In terms of design, the OPPO F31 series features a circular camera design, and one that’s squircle, like the F29 Pro. What appears to be the vanilla OPPO F31 has a square camera design placed on the top-left corner. All three phones have very stylish and striking designs, which will definitely make them stand out.
The OPPO F31 series is set to launch in India on September 12th, 91mobiles has learned. An official announcement is expected soon. The lineup will span the mid-range segment, with the OPPO F31 Pro+ likely priced around Rs 35,000, the F31 Pro starting at roughly Rs 30,000, and the standard F31 around Rs 20,000. While design and durability have been staple highlights of the F series, the bigger 7,000mAh battery shows OPPO is targeting buyers looking for long-lasting battery life.
