Motorola Signature 27 is launching globally on November 5th. The flagship smartphone was first unveiled at the Snapdragon Summit, and its India launch is also confirmed for this month. The Signature 27 is Motorola’s second phone from its premium lineup, and also its first full-fledged flagship smartphone that’s not a foldable. Motorola has already revealed key specifications of the Signature 27 and design details. But we get to learn a bit more about the phone in a new hands-on video.

Motorola Signature 27 hands-on details

YouTuber Danny Winget shared an exclusive hands-on video of the Motorola Signature 27. The video offers a closer look at the smartphone and more detail on its hardware. The Motorola Signature 27 is confirmed to feature a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Duo display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an LTPO panel. The Signature 27 also features a Tandem OLED display, which means a more vibrant screen with better colours.

The highlight, though, is the max brightness, which goes up to 12,000 nits. This means the phone should be more than sufficiently bright outdoors. The video demonstrates this too, showing how the phone’s display remains bright and highly visible even under harsh sunlight.

The battery capacity hasn’t been revealed, but Winget says that capacity is sizeable and that we wouldn’t be disappointed. The first-gen Signature packs a 5,200mAh battery, which is comparatively smaller than rivals, so the Signature 27 is expected to offer a large battery.

The Motorola Signature 27 supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Motorola has also added a 40 percent larger vapour chamber with liquid metal and copper mesh for heat dissipation. The smartphone also comes with Android 17 out of the box and will get seven years of OS upgrades.

The Signature 27’s quad-camera setup not only stands out in terms of design but also hardware. It features a 50MP Lytia 910 main camera, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a dedicated action sensor for motion capture improvement. It’s also equipped with Motorola’s Video Enhancement Engine powered by AI, designed to create a real-time intelligence layer that automatically adjusts colour tones by analysing the scene before and during recording.

We should know the remaining information about the Motorola Signature 27 very soon. But for now, the handset seems like a promising Android flagship with powerful performance, an excellent display, and powerful cameras. If you’re planning to buy a new Android flagship, then it might be worth waiting for the Motorola Signature 27 and also comparing it with upcoming rivals.
