OPPO could be gearing up for a busy festive season in India. According to tipster Debayan Roy, the company is preparing to launch the mid-range OPPO F35 series in the country around the end of August or the beginning of September, likely during the first week of the month. The timing would place the launch just ahead of Flipkart’s Big Billion Days and Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sales, when smartphone brands typically refresh their lineups.
Roy also claims that the OPPO Find X9s Pro could make its way to India. However, unlike the F35 series, he notes that this information could not be independently verified. While one of his sources is confident about the flagship’s India debut, two other sources reportedly said its launch is not confirmed. As a result, the Find X9s Pro’s India arrival should be treated as speculation for now.
OPPO F35 series
If the reported timeline holds, the OPPO F35 lineup will arrive less than five months after the OPPO F33 series, which debuted in India in April this year. The previous generation comprised the OPPO F33 and OPPO F33 Pro, starting at Rs 31,999 and Rs 37,999, respectively.
Both phones featured a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max chipset, a 7,000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC charging, a 50MP primary camera, Android 16-based ColorOS, and storage options of up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Pro variant offered more RAM options, an additional colour option and a different camera module design.
Although specifications of the F35 series remain under wraps, OPPO is likely to continue targeting the upper mid-range segment, where it competes with devices from Vivo, Motorola, OnePlus and iQOO. Launching ahead of the festive shopping season could also help the company capitalise on higher consumer demand.
OPPO Find X9s Pro India launch
The situation is less clear for the OPPO Find X9s Pro. The flagship launched in China and select international markets in April, but OPPO hasn’t confirmed plans to bring it to India. The Find X9s Pro is placed above the Find X9s, which launched in India alongside the Find X9 Ultra in May, starting at Rs 79,999. While the Indian and global Find X9s share identical hardware, they differ from the China-exclusive model, offering a larger 6.59-inch AMOLED display and a bigger 7,025mAh battery.
Compared to the standard Find X9s, the Find X9s Pro features a more compact 6.32-inch 144Hz display, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, dual 200MP main and periscope telephoto cameras alongside a 50MP ultrawide sensor, 50W wireless charging, and configurations of up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. In China, it starts at CNY 5,299 (around Rs 75,000).
For buyers, the OPPO F35 series is the launch worth watching in the near term, especially if you’re planning a purchase during the festive sales. Those interested in the Find X9s Pro may want to wait for more concrete information, as its India launch remains unconfirmed.
