OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro launched in India with a starting price of Rs 74,999: availability details, specifications & more

Highlights
  • OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro are flagships with MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC ticking at their core.
  • Both phones come with a triple Hasselblad camera system, comprising a 50MP primary and 50MP ultrawide sensors.
  • The Find X9 Pro also gets a whopping 200MP periscope lens and a Hasselblad Teleconvertor kit support.

Following their debut in China and on the global stage, the OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro have now officially launched in India. These are flagships, which, as noted in our Find X9 Pro first impressions, bring all-around improvements. The focus remains on cameras, and naturally so, considering they are a defining element of the Find X series. Both smartphones feature imaging systems co-engineered with Hasselblad. While OPPO has trimmed the Pro model’s rear setup to three from last year’s four, it compensates with a massive 200MP periscope lens capable of up to 6x optical-quality zoom.

The lens is capable of providing up to 13.2x lossless zoom. To further enhance its zooming capabilities, OPPO has introduced a Hasselblad Teleconverter kit to expand the zooming capabilities up to 9.6x optically and 200x digitally. Sold separately, the kit works exclusively with the Find X9 Pro’s telephoto camera to expand the focal length from 230mm to 920mm. The varied focal length helps in making your portraits better, and I can vouch for it. The results have been nothing short of impressive, with DSLR-like bokeh effect and accurate edge detection with realistic tones and ample detailing.

It’s not just OPPO that has introduced a proprietary camera kit for its phone. Vivo has also done the same with its X300 series, which has already launched globally and is expected to arrive in India soon. It’ll be interesting to see how the two compare once the X300 series lands on our desk, so stay tuned.

Besides offering the industry’s first 200MP periscope camera, the OPPO Find X9 Pro sports a flagship 50MP Sony LYT828 primary sensor and a 50MP ultrawide lens in a triple camera setup. The regular OPPO Find X9’s triple cameras, on the other hand, feature a slightly downgraded 50MP LYT 808 main sensor, an identical 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP Sony LYT600 telephoto lens. Be that as it may, both phones are among the first to capture images at up to 50MP resolution by default. With the Hasselblad Hi-Res mode, ‘Pro’ users will be able to capture a 200MP image.

This should technically mean more details and sharpness in images, especially when zoomed in, compared to smartphones such as the iPhone 17 Pro models, which use pixel binning to compress an image from a high-resolution sensor. However, it also means a substantially large file size for which there is 512GB of storage on the Find X9 Pro. The vanilla OPPO Find X9 comes in two storage variants: 256GB and 512GB. Just like other premium flagships, there is no option to expand the storage on these smartphones using a microSD card.

OPPO has also introduced its advanced LUMO Imaging System with the devices, which is designed to offer an accurate representation of the scene with accurate colours while enhancing details, focus speeds, and precision depth-sensing for portraits.

Both the OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro mark the Indian debut of the Dimensity 9500 SoC, MediaTek’s top-tier chipset. The processor ensures flagship-grade performance, and our in-house benchmark tests show that it delivers more raw power than Apple’s A19 Pro SoC found in the iPhone 17 Pro Max (review). It also performs on par with devices powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. Thanks to its all-big CPU architecture and peak clock speeds of up to 4.12GHz, the handset effortlessly manages demanding camera tasks as well as everyday use. You can find a detailed performance breakdown in our full Find X9 Pro review.

The OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro share an identical design, featuring a distinctive squircle camera module on the back, flat edges, and impressive durability credentials with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings. The addition of IP69 makes these smartphones more rugged than most competitors, capable of withstanding high-temperature and high-pressure water jets that would typically challenge other flagship devices. On top of that, both models come with a 5-star SGS drop resistance certification, ensuring they can endure minor accidental drops without issue.

The major difference between the two smartphones lies in the form factor. The Find X9 Pro is a bit taller, thanks to its 6.78-inch display as opposed to 6.59 inches on the Find X9. Nevertheless, OPPO has ensured the viewing experience remains practically the same on both devices. The handsets feature 10-bit colour depth AMOLED displays, with super-thin bezels, a centred punch-hole, FHD+ resolution, 100 percent DCI-P3, a dynamic 120Hz refresh rate, 3,600 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Moreover, the displays can achieve a minimal brightness of 1 nit, reducing flicker and easing eye strain in low light.

The handsets also come with HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HDR Vivid support. For security, they feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, which is capable of unlocking the device in a jiffy. These display parameters are expected from a flagship.

Speaking of expectations, battery life is always high on the list, and the OPPO Find X9 series shouldn’t disappoint with its massive capacities. The X9 Pro offers the biggest battery in its class, 7,500mAh, more than twice that of the iPhone 17. OPPO Claims that the smartphone can last an impressive two days of regular usage between charges.

The regular OPPO Find X9 boasts a 7,025mAh battery. This OEM has managed to squeeze in the mammoth battery on smartphones as slim as 7.8mm and under 224 grams of weight, thanks to its third-gen Silicon-Carbon battery, which is reportedly designed to retain up to 80 percent of its original capacity even after five years of use.

Both smartphones support 80W SuperVOOC wired and 50W AirVOOC wireless charging speeds. The wired charger is provided in the box. To ensure that the device remains cool while charging and during other regular usage, the Find X9 series incorporates an advanced vapour chamber cooling system, comprising a redesigned vapour chamber, high-performance thermal gel, and extensive graphite.

On the software front, the handsets boot Android 16-based ColorOS 16 out of the box. This is the latest software, and the devices are programmed to receive at least five years of major OS updates and six years of security updates. There is an array of AI tools to offer as well, including AI LinkBoost to enhance connectivity.

All this can be yours at Rs 74,999 for the OPPO Find X9’s 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, whereas its 12GB RAM + 512GB variant is priced at Rs 84,999. The handset comes in two colour options: Titanium Grey and Space Black. The OPPO Find X9 Pro will set you back to Rs 1,09,999 for the sole 16GB RAM and 512GB storage option. The smartphone also comes in two hues: Silk White and Titanium Charcoal.
