OPPO Reno15 series launch scheduled for November 17th; triple rear cameras, 200MP sensor, & more rumoured
The OPPO Reno15 series could debut in China on November 17th, according to a promotional poster spotted on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. However, an official confirmation from the brand is still pending. This development follows OPPO’s recent teaser confirming its upcoming mid-range lineup, expected to include the Reno15, Reno15 mini, and Reno15 Pro, with more details to follow on November 10th. The lineup will be positioned below the company’s flagship Find X9 series and aim to bring similar camera performance at a relatively more affordable price tag.
While we wait for that, the rumour mill has churned out an alleged image of one of the Reno15 models. Reliable tipster Digital Trends chat station has posted the image, which shows a glimpse of the Reno15 series’ back panel. It appears white will be one of the colour variants of the smartphone. The image also seemingly confirms a triple rear camera setup housed in a squircle module – a design reminiscent of the Reno14 series. However, this time around, the camera module may have ‘Reno’ text, along with AI Camera, etched.

The OPPO Reno15 series specifications remain largely under wraps, but if rumours are to be believed, upgrades are expected in both performance and camera capabilities. The standard Reno15 is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 SoC, the same chipset found in the Reno14 Pro (review). This processor delivered solid performance across most everyday tasks, and it should make the Reno15 a compelling option in its segment—unless rivals manage to offer more powerful alternatives. We’ll reserve our final verdict until we get the device in for review.
The Reno15 Pro and Reno15 mini are also rumoured to feature the same chipset. However, the Pro variant is tipped to include 16GB of RAM, which should enable smoother multitasking and better performance under heavy workloads compared to its smaller siblings. That said, the phone might still fall short against some of its rivals, particularly from OnePlus and iQOO, both of which tend to equip their affordable flagships with higher-end chipsets that can easily outpace the Reno15 series’ SoC in terms of raw performance.
Moving on, the Reno15 mini, true to its name, will reportedly feature the smallest display in the lineup. The mini version should appeal to buyers who prefer their smartphone to be compact and easy to carry. The Reno15 and Reno15 Pro, on the other hand, may boast 6.59-inch and 6.78-inch flat OLED displays, respectively.
Cameras have always been central to the Reno lineup, and the Reno15 mini and Reno15 Pro are reportedly set to share identical camera hardware this time around. Both handsets are expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto unit. The primary sensor marks a clear upgrade over the Reno14 series, and we expect it to deliver noticeable improvements in real-world photography. On the front, however, the Reno15 Pro could see a downgrade to a 32MP selfie camera, compared to the 50MP front shooter on the Reno14 Pro.
On the software front, all three Reno15 models are expected to ship with Android 16-based ColorOS 16 out of the box. While the battery capacities of the standard and mini variants remain unknown, the Reno15 Pro is rumoured to pack a 6,300mAh cell. This isn’t a major bump over its predecessor, but it should complement the phone’s 80W wired and 50W wireless fast-charging capabilities. Since these figures are unchanged from the Reno14 Pro, the Reno15 Pro is likely to offer similar charging speeds in everyday use. To recall, the handset, with its 6,200mAh battery, juiced up from 20 percent to 100 percent in just 40 minutes.
