OPPO Reno15 series goes global and even this has a Pro Max variant: check price, features

There is a new naming pattern for the Reno series this year. In past lines, namely ending with the Reno10 series in 2023, the top model would have a ‘Pro+’ moniker. For the next few generations, the series topped out with the Pro but the Reno15 series brings a bigger change to the nomenclature. OPPO has introduced the ‘Pro Max’ nomenclature for the Reno15 lineup, much like what Xiaomi did with their flagship Xiaomi 17 series this time, when it launched the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max alongside the other models in November. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi also introduced a Redmi K90 Pro Max in China late in 2025. We all know where we’ve heard the Pro Max name before. Over the years, several Reno phones have drawn visual comparisons with Apple’s iPhone Pro models, particularly around camera layouts and finishes. With the Reno15 series, OPPO has now picked up Apple’s naming language as well.

Interestingly, that’s not the only change in the naming scheme of the Reno series expected this year. OPPO has confirmed the Reno15 Pro Mini for India. The Reno series is now stretched albeit not in the same markets (for now), with a larger Pro Max and a compact Pro Mini replacing the single Pro+ model that used to sit at the top. The OPPO global website lists the Reno15, Reno15 Pro, Reno15 Pro Max and Reno15 F models, so it can be assumed the Pro Mini could be exclusive to India, and possibly some rebranding games are at play.

Coming back to the Taiwan launch, the OPPO Reno15 Pro Max is available in a single configuration, priced at TWD 24,990 (roughly Rs 71,000) for the 12GB + 512GB storage, . It is offered in Twilight Gold and Desert Brown colour options. The Reno15 Pro is priced at TWD 20,990 (around Rs 60,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. Colour options are Aurora Blue and Desert Blue. The standard Reno15 comes in two storage variants. The base 12GB + 256GB model is priced at TWD 17,990 (roughly Rs 51,000), while the higher 12GB + 512GB storage variant costs TWD 19,990 (about Rs 55,000). It is available in Aurora White and Sky Blue.

Coming to specs, the top variant, the OPPO Reno15 Pro Max, is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED full HD+ 120Hz display. The device runs on MediaTek Dimensity 8450 SoC, accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The phone houses a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP front camera. In terms of power, the device is fuelled by 6,500mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.

The OPPO Reno15 Pro comes with the same display resolution and refresh rate, runs on the same Dimensity 8450 chipset but has a compact 6.32-inch AMOLED screen. It comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage and has the same camera hardware as the Pro Max. Battery capacity has been reduced slightly to 6,200mAh with support for 80W wired charging. The phone has a compact profile 151.21 x 72.42 x 7.99mm and weighs around 188 gms. Considering the screen size, it’s possible this is the OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini for India.

The standard Reno15 comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor with an upgraded storage option of 512GB. The display is a 6.59-inch FHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The rear cameras include a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, 50MP telephoto camera with a 3.5x periscope lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a resolution of 8MP. The battery comes with a capacity of 6,500mAh, along with 80W wired charging support. The device dimensions are 158 x 74.83 x 7.77mm, and it weighs 197 gms.

All three phones run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 and come with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options are the same across the lineup and include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB Type-C, and satellite navigation support, along with face unlock and fingerprint authentication.

The OPPO Reno15 series is positioned to compete with Vivo’s V-series and the higher-end models from Realme’s number and Redmi’s Note lineup which emphasise a larger power battery and camera equipment over powerful processing. Periscope zoom is still not mainstream in this segment which gives OPPO a slight edge but Realme’s 16 Pro phones are tipped to come with it too.

From a buying point of view, the Reno15 Pro Max is meant for users who want a large screen, wireless charging, and the biggest battery in the lineup. The Reno15 Pro may appeal to users who want similar cameras and performance in a smaller phone. The regular Reno15 is the most affordable option and keeps the periscope lens, but makes compromises on the main camera and chipset.
