Realme 15 series is confirmed to launch in India on July 24th. The lineup, which succeeds the Realme 14 models, will include the Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro. The features usually reserved for the Pro+ will be present on the Pro variant this time around. This marks the first time a Pro model gets the kind of hardware Realme previously reserved for its Pro+ line, possibly signalling a shift in portfolio strategy. The Flipkart microsite confirmed the battery, fast charging, display, and the IP rating. Now, the Realme 15 Pro camera details, cameras, and AI features have been revealed. This hints at some notable improvements over the predecessor.
Realme 15 Pro is confirmed to feature a dual camera setup on the back. This includes a 50MP Sony IMX896 primary camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The handset will get a 50MP selfie shooter, which the company notes will offer detailed and crisp selfies. Additionally, the camera will offer 4K 60fps video recording on both the front and rear cameras. There are 4x and 2x smooth zoom transitions.
Additionally, the phone comes with AI MagicGlow 2.0 for natural skin tones, AI Party Mode, which uses smart scene detection, creative lighting effects, and watermarked frames. There’s also the already announced AI Edit Genie, which is a voice-controlled editing tool that supports over 20 languages. It can perform various tasks like glare removal, motion blur correction to background replacement, and artistic enhancements.
Besides cameras, the Realme 15 Pro is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. The Realme 14 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy. The new Qualcomm SoC features 1 prime core clocked up to 2.8GHz, 4 performance cores clocked up to 2.4GHz, and 3 efficiency cores with up to 1.8GHz clock speed.
The phone is said to score over 1.1 million in the AnTuTu benchmark application. It gets GT Boost 3.0, stable 120 fps gameplay, AI Gaming Coach 2.0, and AI Ultra Touch Control to further improve the gaming experience. The Realme 15 Pro gets a 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
The Realme handset features a 4D curved+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass layer, and 6,500 nits peak brightness. The panel used could be AMOLED, similar to the Realme 14 Pro. The punch-hole cutout and narrow bezels mean more screen real estate for gaming and content consumption. There’s also an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance rating much like the predecessor. This is slowly becoming a new norm on mid-range models.
With premium hardware like a 144Hz display, 6,500 nits brightness, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, 50MP OIS main camera, and a large 7,000mAh battery, the Realme 15 Pro could be a strong contender in the sub-Rs 25,000 segment, especially for users prioritising battery and camera. We’ll have to wait for the official price reveal to see how it stacks up against its competitors.
