Rumours about Realme’s next number series have started to surface online. The lineup will most likely include the Realme 17 Pro and Realme 17 Pro+. Another smartphone might join the lineup earlier than expected. The smartphone in question is the Realme 17T, and 91mobiles has exclusively sourced its live images, revealing the phone’s design, courtesy of tipster Sudhanshu.
Realme 17T 5G design (expected)
According to the images, which show the front and back of the Realme 17T 5G, the design differs slightly from its predecessor, the Realme 16T. Starting with the front design, the Realme 17T features thin bezels and a punch-hole selfie camera like the 16T. One change here is that the bezels seem thinner than the 16T, especially the bottom bar. This should deliver a more immersive display experience.
The rear design is what will differentiate the two phones. Realme keeps the square-shaped camera module, but this time the sensors and LED flash are arranged as two smaller pills horizontally, rather than three separate markers on the 16T. It looks more uniform this time. The Realme 17T in this image is shown in black, but more colour options could be announced when the phone is made official.
Other than the design, we don’t have any other information about the Realme 17T, but we expect it to offer upgrades over the 16T. To recap, the Realme 16T features a 6.8-inch LCD HD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits peak brightness. The smartphone packs a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, a 50MP rear camera, and a 16MP front camera. Its highlight is the 8,000mAh battery with 45W charging support.
Since the Realme 17T will launch as an affordable alternative to the Realme 17 Pro and 17 Pro+, it will offer toned-down specs, but Realme could still upgrade the chipset and cameras. If so, the Realme 17T could be considered in the mid-range segment. However, since we don’t know any specifications as of now, Realme 16T users might want to hold on.
