The Realme C100x is set to launch in India today and a new leak has revealed what could be its effective launch price. While the company has already confirmed several key specifications, the latest leak sheds light on its pricing ahead of the official announcement. The Realme C100x will be sold via Flipkart and is a battery-focused offering with an 8,000mAh cell.
According to tipster Sanju Choudhary, the Realme C100x will be priced at Rs 14,999 (net effective price) for the 4GB + 64GB variant. This is significantly lower from an earlier leaked retail box image that suggested an MRP of Rs 29,999, indicating the phone is expected to launch with substantial introductory offers. Box prices are generally higher, but the actual selling price will be above Rs 15,000, as per the leak. Realme will officially unveil the phone today at noon, when its final pricing and launch offers will be confirmed.
Realme has already teased most of the phone’s hardware, while additional details are known since the phone has already made its global debut in Indonesia. Key specifications include:
The phone will be available in Deepblue Tides and Golden Coast colour options. Realme claims the battery can deliver over 17 hours of navigation on a single charge.
The Realme C100x appears to prioritise battery life and durability over outright performance. An 8,000mAh battery and 45W charging are uncommon under Rs 15,000 (tipped effective price after launch offers), making it appealing for users who want long endurance without carrying a power bank.
However, the reported Rs 14,999 starting price also highlights how much the entry-level smartphone segment has changed. Just a few years ago, 4G smartphones with 4GB RAM routinely launched below Rs 10,000. Today, buyers are seemingly expected to pay around Rs 15,000 for similar memory and connectivity, even if they receive a much larger battery, faster charging, higher refresh rate display and better build quality in return.
For buyers focused on performance or future-proofing, the bigger concern may be the combination of a 4G-only Unisoc chipset and 4GB RAM at this price. Several competitors around the Rs 15,000 mark already offer 5G connectivity, more capable processors and higher RAM configurations, making the Realme C100x a more niche option aimed at users who value battery life above everything else.
