Realme Narzo 70 5G vs Lava Blaze Curve performance comparison: which phone comes out ahead?

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, the Narzo 70 5G is a solid performer for its price. Today, we’ll be comparing the Realme Narzo 70 5G with the Lava Blaze Curve 5G (review), which is another impressive performer in this price segment to find out which smartphone offers better performance, based on benchmark tests and gaming tests.

Geekbench

The Geekbench test is used to gauge the CPU performance of a smartphone. In this benchmark test, the Realme Narzo 70 scored 955 in the single-core test and 2,394 in the multi-core test. On the other hand, the Lava Blaze Curve 5G managed to get 1103 in the single-core test and 2628 in the multi-core test.

As you can see, this benchmark suggests the Lava Blaze Curve should provide better performance in both single-core tasks, such as gaming and web browsing, as well as in multi-core tasks such as video editing and multitasking. In this benchmark test, the Realme Narzo 70 5G scored 5,84,952 while the Lava Blaze Curve 5G managed to get an aggregate score of 5,75,509. Again, while the Narzo 70 wins this round purely on the basis of the scores, the difference is small and users might not find any major disparity in real-life usage.

Throttling test

To test the performance output of both smartphones under duress, we used the Burnout benchmark app. The Realme Narzo 70 offered a performance output of 76.1 percent when throttling, compared to the 81 percent performance output of the Lava Blaze Curve under throttling. The result suggests that the Lava Blaze Curve should offer better performance under extreme stress.

Gaming test

The Realme Narzo 70 5G is a reasonably capable gaming machine as it can support higher graphics settings on some demanding games, such as BGMI and COD: Mobile, compared to the Lava Blaze Curve 5G. The Realme smartphone also offers better thermal management, with a temperature increase of just 7.6 degrees C compared to the 8 degrees C on the Lava handset.

The Realme Narzo 70 5G comes across as a slightly better performer compared to the Lava Blaze Curve 5G, going by these benchmark scores. Despite featuring the same processor, it seems like the Narzo 70 5G offers overall more value than the Lava handset as it offers faster charging speeds and higher peak display brightness too. However, it is important to point out that the Lava handset offers higher resolution cameras and longer battery life. If your priority lies in a smartphone’s performance, the Realme Narzo 70 5G could be a good option in its price range, going by benchmarks.
