Realme has launched its latest P-series smartphones, the Realme P4 and P4 Pro, in India. These are aimed at gamers, content creators, and users seeking premium performance on a lower midrange budget. Both devices bring big upgrades over the previous P3 lineup, including higher display refresh rates, a new AI-focused performance approach, and a dual-chip design. This includes a dedicated Hyper Vision AI Chip, something which is rare in their price segments. Speaking of which, here’s how much they cost:
Realme P4 starts in India at Rs 18,499, and the P4 Pro costs Rs 24,999 for the base variant. Both phones support up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The first sale for P4 starts today at 6 PM, and P4 Pro will go on sale on 27th August at 12 PM. The phones will be available via Flipkart and the Realme website.

The Realme P4 Pro runs on the 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC (2.8GHz), and the Realme P4 uses the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset (2.6GHz). Both are paired with a dedicated Hyper Vision AI chip that enables gaming at 144FPS in titles like BGMI. Even video streaming will be visually smooth once you toggle AI Hyper Motion.
The P4 Pro features a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 6500 nits peak brightness, making it the brightest in its segment. The P4 also uses an AMOLED display with 1080 x 2392 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support.
The Realme P4 Pro features 50MP AI cameras on both the front and back, each capable of recording 4K video at 60FPS, making it an ideal choice for vloggers. There is also an 8MP ultrawide snapper on its back. The Realme P4 features a 50MP + 8MP rear camera setup and a 16MP front camera, supporting 4K 30FPS video recording from the rear and 1080P video recording from the front. The photos benefit from AI features like Edit Genie, which lets you prompt AI for quick photo editing, AI Eraser for removing people and objects, AI Ultra Clarity for sharper images, AI Unblur for removing motion blur, etc.
Other AI features include AI Gaming Coach for BGMI, multitasking tools like AI Smart Loop, Circle to Search for quick lookups, and Gemini for text generation. Both devices run Android 15 with ColorOS 15.0.
The P4 and P4 Pro share a 7000mAh battery, the largest in the P-series so far, promising all-day endurance. Charging is handled by 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, which is said to reach 50 percent in around 25 minutes.
Among other things, both models offer IP65 and IP66 dust and water resistance, ensuring protection against splashes and heavy rain. This will be useful for outdoor users, but it is a downgrade compared to the IP68/IP69 rating on the Realme P3 series.
In comparison to its predecessors, the new model features a 7000mAh battery, a dual-chip design for improved gaming and video performance, higher refresh rate displays, and several AI utilities for editing, gaming, and productivity. The P4 Pro also boasts the brightest 1.5K AMOLED display in the mid-range segment and a higher megapixel front camera.
Both phones are spicing up the competition in their respective segments. Realme’s P4 series is clearly doubling down on AI and gaming, but with trade-offs like the IP downgrade and stiff competition, it may appeal most to budget gamers rather than all-rounders. Still, if you are wondering, the Moto G86 Power can be a viable alternative to the Realme P4, thanks to its stock Android experience and vibrant design. For the Rs 24,999 price range, consider the OnePlus Nord CE5 for its faster processor or the Nothing Phone 3a for its unique transparent design and clean software.
