Realme is preparing to launch the Realme P4x 5G in India later this week, and a fresh leak has revealed its expected price and storage variants. The launch event is scheduled for December 4th at 12 pm, where the company will also unveil the Realme Watch 5. Realme and Flipkart have already started teasing the phone through dedicated microsites. The latest detail confirmed is that the Realme P4x will house a 7,000mAh battery.
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd), the Realme P4x 5G is expected to start at Rs 15,999 for the base model, which features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The 8GB RAM variant with 128GB of storage is expected to cost Rs 17,499, while the top-end version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage may be priced at Rs 19,499. This places the phone firmly in another price segment altogether, as it’s priced Rs 2,000 higher than its predecessor, the Realme P3x, which falls under Rs 15,000. However, this is only a leak for now with no official confirmation yet.
In this price range, the Realme P4x would compete with the Moto G67 Power, which also features a 7,000mAh battery. Phones like the Redmi 15 and the Lava Play Ultra would also be close competitors to the Realme P4x, and possibly affordable alternatives as well.
Realme has already confirmed several key features of the device. The P4x 5G will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset and will support up to 18GB of dynamic RAM along with up to 256GB of onboard storage. The phone will be equipped with a massive 7,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Realme claims that just 5.5 minutes of charging offers up to 2 hours of Instagram use, and 6 minutes gives almost an hour of BGMI gameplay. The phone is also said to charge from 1 percent to 100 percent in just 90 minutes.
The smartphone will feature a 50-megapixel AI-backed main rear camera, while the secondary camera is expected to be a 2-megapixel sensor, and the front camera may be an 8-megapixel unit for selfies and video calls.
The Realme P4x 5G is rumoured to feature a 6.72-inch FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits of peak brightness. To manage heat, the device will come with a 5300mm² vapour chamber for improved cooling during gaming and heavy use. This is powered by the FrostCore Cooling System, which layers a steel-plate vapour chamber, copper-graphite cooling, and 10 precision temperature sensors to keep front and back temperature gaps minimal.
We’re yet to know the official pricing, but so far, the Realme P4x 5G appears to be a strong option if long battery life and smooth performance are priorities. The combination of a large 7,000mAh battery, a capable mid-range chipset and a high-refresh-rate display makes it well suited for heavy usage, gaming and multimedia. However, the camera setup seems basic for its segment, so those looking for versatile photography features might want to consider other options.
Overall, the Realme P4x 5G looks like a practical mid-range phone that focuses on performance, battery life and value for money. We should get a better idea once all the specifications and pricing are revealed for the Realme P4x. We’ll also be reviewing the phone, so stay tuned for that before making a buying decision.
