Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy A07 5G will launch in India in the first week of February. The phone is already official in markets like Thailand and will now come to India as Samsung’s next budget 5G model.

The Galaxy A07 5G doesn’t change much compared to the Galaxy A06 5G but builds on certain features. It keeps the same 6.7-inch HD+ display, but Samsung has increased the refresh rate to 120Hz from 90Hz. In day-to-day use, that should make scrolling feel a bit smoother. Brightness goes up to 800 nits, which should help outdoors. The resolution stays the same, and Samsung is still using an LCD panel, while some rivals at similar prices are moving to AMOLED.

The Galaxy A07 5G gets a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front camera, which is the same setup as the Galaxy A06 5G. It’s fine for basic photos and portraits, but there’s no ultrawide camera, which some phones are starting to offer in this segment.

Battery life is where the A07 5G clearly improves. Samsung has increased the battery size to 6,000mAh, up from 5,000mAh on the A06 5G. Charging stays at 25W wired. With an HD+ screen and modest hardware, battery life should be solid, especially for people who spend a lot of time watching videos or scrolling through apps.

Samsung hasn’t confirmed the chipset for the India version yet. The global model runs on a 6nm octa-core processor in the same range as the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 used in the Galaxy A06 5G. Performance should be fine for everyday use like WhatsApp, YouTube, and social media, but this isn’t a phone meant for gaming.

The Galaxy A07 5G ships with Android 16 and One UI 8. Samsung has also confirmed six Android version updates and six years of security patches. That’s a step up from the Galaxy A06 5G and is still one of Samsung’s biggest strengths in the budget space.

Samsung hasn’t announced India pricing yet. However, tipster Abhishek Yadav says the Galaxy A07 5G could start at Rs 15,999 for the 4GB + 128GB version, with the 6GB model priced at Rs 17,999. If that’s accurate, the phone will sit just above the Galaxy A06 5G and compete directly with budget 5G phones from Redmi, Realme, and iQOO.

The Galaxy A07 5G looks like a safe, predictable update aimed at people who want long battery life, smoother scrolling, and software updates that last, rather than better cameras or higher performance.
